The story behind Little Beside

Little Beside is a stone cottage tucked away in Mount Hawke, a quiet village in the hills above the north Cornwall coast. From the doorstep, you're a short drive from Porthtowan and St Agnes — two of the best surf beaches on this stretch — and right on the edge of the Salt Path walking trail.

We fell in love with this corner of Cornwall and wanted to share it. So we spent time making Little Beside somewhere we'd genuinely want to stay ourselves — comfortable without being fussy, equipped for real holidays (boards, wetsuits, muddy boots, sandy dogs) and warm enough to want to linger in even when the weather doesn't play ball.

The handmade furniture, the wood burner, the outdoor shower, the proper coffee machine — all of it came from thinking about what actually makes a trip feel good. We hope you feel it the moment you arrive.

The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms, and dogs are very much welcome. We book through Airbnb, which keeps everything straightforward — but if you have a question before booking, or want to check something, we're easy to reach.
